Story
We begin the odyssey in a New York City we are all too familiar with – crime, drugs, greedy politicians, police corruption, wealth disparity…
Lynn and Annie are two exceptionally gifted 14-year-old girls attending an elite boarding school in Manhattan. They are bored by their regular uneventful life and dream of one day solving mysteries and crimes.
While trying to start a detectives club at school, the student council president Sherry suddenly dies. Her body is found hanged with a black web encircling her. The authorities quickly label this death as an unfortunate accident, but Lynn and Annie are not so easily convinced.
While following their suspicious PE teacher Mr. Carlos, the two girls are unexpectedly caught by the notorious criminal family, the Rojas.
Little do they know, what they are about to learn from the Rojas will change everything they once knew about this world...
Scenery
Set in New York City in the 2010s, Indra’s Net features many urban landscapes such as Manhattan skyscrapers, busy subways, and the more culturally and economically diverse neighborhoods of Brooklyn and the Bronx.Yet, there is also a twist to the realism. To better accommodate the story’s fantasy elements, Lynn and Annie’s New York City is embroidered with gothic architecture, secret underground lairs, ancient statues of centuries-old history, and Spanish-style mansions...
